5 hotels I loved in Lisbon

My first time in Lisbon was like falling in love, and the hotel where I spent my first 3 nights had a big role on it:
As Janelas Verdes.

External, As Janelas Verdes

Almost hidden in a quiet corner of the city, near the Museum of Arts, this old house presents books, small objects d'art, photo of the family in the corners, all about to set a scene for a nostalgic movie. Well, this house is believed to have been the inspiration for some characters imagined by Eça de Queiróz.
This was 5 years ago... I have seen it again a few weeks ago, still beautiful. The difference is that now much more people know.

On the other side of the moon, Pestana CR7, a cool modern hotel in the very heart of the town, 2 min to Praca do Commercio and the sea. This hotel takes inspiration from the national hero Cristiano Ronaldo, maybe the best football player with Messi in the last 10 years. Cristiano is a jet setter and iconic personality, so the hotel voguish and "à la mode".
Great lounge bar and fancy restaurants for locals and foreigners looking at the right atmosphere after sunset.

Want to go classic? Olisippo Lapa Palace is the first answer... but not in the heart of the city. Lapa Quarter is the place where you find the Embassies, the mansion of beauty and rich, 20 min away from the very heart of Lisbon. Up and down in Lapa.. not take it literally, but not so far from the Hollywood heights. Beautiful rooms and unsurpassable views!

Pestana Palace is another option. Here Portugal stands up and presents itself. Magnificent rooms, superb palace. Authentic Portuguese Style with state of the Art service.
A perfect mix of Portuguese Style and great location, with beautiful rooms and comfortable lounges, is the Pousada de Lisboa, Impressively refurbished is just on the Praça do Comércio, between the Baixa neighbourhood and the Tagus estuary.
